Blessing the Nap

MonkeyMommy had surgery this week so Eli had the pleasure of being spoiled by BigMama & Papa for two nights. I would love to say Eli was So Excited to see me but in true Eli fashion I barely got the time of day for about 30 minutes after picking him up from school aside from the Where's Mommy questions just to determine my whereabouts. After a quick lunch, Eli & I went to BigMama's room and got all snuggled up to watch the Cow movie and take a nap - except Eli, in true Eli form, wanted to do anything BUT take the nap chosing instead to talk about everything under the sun as well as push De King and Mi-De King all over the bed.

I finally, in a fit of exhaustion, said Eli Close Your Eyes to which he quickly went Thank you God. Thank you mommy. Thank you daddy. Thank you Papa. Thank you BigMama. Thank you Gracie. Thank you Wesley. A-men and then? Well then he said Eni say de bwessing. Thank you God for dis food. No. Wait Minute. Thank You God For Dis Nap. A-men.

He finally took that nap after we blessed it. And now he's back at Eni's house all snug in his bed. I just hope he sleeps a little later than the 630 wake-up that took place at BigMama & Papa's!
