Our Saturday Afternoon

After partying hard last night, Eli & I slept in a wee bit before running our weekend errands. I must say that the lines and the crowds had us both quite grouchy by the time we arrived home. This wasn't helped by the fact it started Raining which limited outdoor play. Eli decided that Naps Are For the Birds - insisting "Eni not tired Eni go pway" so we did play. And we also made our First Ever Ornament. This was attempted last week at Sunday School but Eli just couldn't make his hands work to get those tiny beads on the pipe cleaner - so I picked up some bigger wooden beads while out today. Look at that concentration!

And the finished product proudly displayed on the front of the tree

Still insisting No Nap Needed, Eli then repeatedly BEGGED to go outside with Daddy. I finally said Okay Fine and sent him out in books with an umbrellaBack in the house not ten minutes later as the rain started pouring? Eli had a huge meltdown where he still insisted he was not tired. So we put in a movie. And I left the room for not even two minutes. And I returned to find this:After a power nap, we then worked on cooking supper where Eli was a huge helpI must say that these kind of Saturday afternoons are my most favorite. Well, aside from nap strike and resulting tantrums. And now we are in the middle of fighting going to bed so I best go lay down the law. Here's to hoping for even more fun tomorrow
