Green Playgrounds, Giant Rockets and "Dat Giant Buzz"

So Eli & I struck up this deal last night. It involved him taking a nap and generally behaving and all that jazz - and in return we'd see about going to the green playground. And in his true Eli Never Forgets fashion he remembered. He took the shortest of naps ever much to the dismay of the Monkey Mommy who really was pulling for one of those 3-hour naps. And so I held him off til Daddy got home. We ran by Peanut's house and then granted his wish - Geen Pwaygroun Oh I Wub De Geen Pwaygroun! He ran and climbed and went up and down the slide. He yelled in the cones. He rode the bouncing rides. He swang in various swings. And he just generally had a Blast

But wait - there was another reason his day was such a blast. Last night he requested a phone call with Ruby and BatMan. He informed them about the Giant Buzz At Target. And so they granted yet another Eli Wish and took him by Target. And managed to find that Rocket he's been dreaming of - the very Rocket we couldn't find though we'd said it could be an Easter prize. He loves them both - they took a nap with us and he all but wanted them both to ride to the playground but we insisted only one could go (Rocket won out for those placing bets).

The only downside to the whole Rocket bit? Eli keeps asking when his party is. Because he thought the Rocket would come on his birthday. So he thinks he's missed out on the cake. I keep assuring him that June is his birthday. But methinks he's a wee bit confused. Hopefully he won't think the party we're attending Tuesday at lunch is for him!
