The Horse's Name is Chicken

Eli got this stuffed horse for Christmas. He will, on occasion, bust out the horse and play for a bit. But for the past, oh, month he hasn't touched the thing. So being the wonderful therapist I am, on animal day at playgroup I decided to bring the old horse for the kids to use. Except I didn't count on Eli birthing a calf over it.

Oh The Sobs. He saw me go outside with the horse and Fell To Pieces. I busted out the good old distraction method and thought the horse love was all gone.
Until today. When I pick him up from StLuke school. We're on our way to Ruby's office when I hear from the backseat where are we going? I gave the remainder of the day's rundown First Ruby's Office because Mommy has to go back to work and help the babies. Then you can take a nap and when you wake up we'll go to WalMart.
He gets all upset stuttering all over himself in the backseat You not gon wet dat baby eat my horsie. Over and over about me not "letting" the "baby" eat the horse. I politely informed him the horse was in the trunk and that the babies wouldn't even get to play with it today.

I thought Okay Horse Forgotten Again. But oh no he's the Eli-phant & never forgets.

We pull in the driveway and we have six bags from WalMart and a bag of his ChickFilA to get in the house. But is he all willing to help make things go faster? No. He's standing there at the trunk informing me we aw-most dair we aw-most got dat horsie and giving a play-by-play of the bags as they leave the trunk.

And then the horse. Oh the horse had dinner with us! And then "helped" with the Easter eggs for school! And watched a movie with us! And currently? The horse is all nestled and tucked in Eli's bed. Eli said Horsie name is chicken. He in my bed watch my Wil Robins movie.

I'm just hoping the horse doesn't need to take something to the post office with us tomorrow
