St Luke Egg Hunt

Today was Egg Hunt/Easter Party at StLuke School. Eli talked allllll about the fact he was getting chicken nuggets at lunch. Not quite jazzed about hunting eggs just yet.

The class heard a story from the beloved sub Ms Bobbie while the "Easter Bunny" apparently ran by and hid some eggs. You may notice every single child all engrossed in the story except for one little monkey. Ahem.

Shortly after there was Egg Hunting to be had. Except Eli? Spent the entire time walking around with the following dialouge: Is there an egg on the slide? Nooo no egg on the slide. Is there an egg on the floor? Noooo no egg on the floor. Is there an egg on the ride? Nooooo no egg on the ride. Action shot to the left followed by the only eggs scored by Eli on the right. But don't everyone get up in arms because Ms Heather is a rockstar teacher and made sure every child went home with the same number eggs!

Next up the beloved lunch with nuggets AND iced sugar cookies. Pink Iced Sugar Cookies. Pink Iced Sugar Cookies from Corner Bakery that had a Bunny Done In Icing. Eli was in heaven. And ate said icing, er, cookie resulting in a face covered in icing. And then he promptly wiped all the icing off on the sleeve of his long-sleeve white shirt. Ahem.

After lunch Eli and Tucker W and Aidan and assorted other classmates ran around the room on a sugar high and had an absolute blast. Much high-pitched happy noises and giggling and running and spinning going on. Making Eli think the whole Easter Egg Hunt Party thing? Wasn't all that bad.

He's so darn cute! And, way to go, Miss Heather, on the equal eggs. That's how it's done here too. :D (KelMel)
