Love Thursday: "De Mommy Shoes"

We name our shoes. There are tennis shoes. Blue boots. Green boots. Sandals And Mommy Shoes.

Simply put, Mommy Shoes are Flops, picked up on clearance on a whim one weeked at Old Navy (which MonkeyBoy lovingly calls Oh Baby!).

We wear our Mommy Shoes to church on Sundays.

We wear our Mommy Shoes on the weekends.

Sometimes MonkeyBoy tells Mommy to put on her Mommy Shoes and Daddy to put on his Mommy Shoes.

And nearly every morning he asks to wear De Mommy Shoes to school. Which we generally give an emphatic NO in reply to. And he quickly follows it with "De mommy shoes in Eni bag wear mommy shoes at BigMama's house!" and he changes shoes in the car after school.

Today he had no clean socks. Today he wore the Mommy Shoes to Ms Hedges School.

He thought it was the greatest thing ever.
