Saturday Fun

I'm trying to think of what all we spent our day doing and it comes to me in bits & pieces. There's the breakfast trip to CrackerBarrel where we find that pancakes only taste good the first three minutes & every bite following that time causes one to gag. Or the trip to WalMart where you have to get the Mommy stuff before we can yook at de Cars. Oh yes and the tantrum in the parking lot outside Bath&BodyWorks - that was a winner, no?

Anyway. So I thought I would point out two things from this day. Number one: it is okay to wear your monkey shirt with jeans & a carpenter belt along with green boots when one goes to eat at Cracker Barrel as well as when one goes to WalMart. I don't know about you but I totally think he's pulling it off with such flare, no? Whenever Eli goes out with those boots we get lots of comments from the grandparent crowd. What makes it even better is we usually have his red/black baby stroller, too, so yeah we're quite a sight!

And the second part is that three year olds can be BIG helps with fall festival preparations - to the tune of helping to pick up prizes from the living room floor! And pushing boxes around! And especially helping Daddy - particularly when it involves Eli getting to touch tools - tools which he calls by their HandyManny names & it cracks me up. He spent a good thirty minutes with the tape measure out there while David works. Hrmm perhaps that might be a good Christmas present (ha)
