On Birthdays

We've been All About the Birthday this weekend as the MonkeyMommy celebrated the big 3-0. Eli loves the fact that he got cake, ice cream AND this birthday makes it one step closer to his birthday. Because he is quick to remind you Eni is 3 and it is April and I am a boy. In June I be four and I will be a girl. Except we had to inform that, no, as a matter of fact he would not be a girl. But he could have a party. And then he rattles off an invitation list that grows by the day and with numerous themes.

We're just excited he's excited about birthdays this year. And we're excited it's Mommy's birthday. Except for that part about being a wee bit confused when Mommy's PARTY was yesterday but her BIRTHDAY is today. Oh well, can't win them all.

I told Eli I made a wish and it was him. His only response was to ask me if I blew out the candles. Happy bir-day to mommy happy bir-day to you
