We were workin on Eli's verse last night - and he told David and I he wanted to teach us the verse. He once again gave his favorite "verse" and I informed him that you needed the "name and numbers" for the scripture reference. So he then said the verse again:
Jesus is a super hero. Tony 3:31
David & I were rolling. I wanted to let him say this verse tonight at Cubbies but instead we taught him the true verse for tonight (God loved us and sent His son. John 3:16).
Tonight on the car ride home Eli asked me if we could go ahead and learn the verse for next week. I told him that we'd look it up when we got home because Mommy couldn't find his book while driving.
And then, with every ounce of wonder and hope he asked Maybe will it be the super hero verse next week?
