Thankfulness

Forgive the lack of posting - and the lack of photos! We are mourning the possible loss of my laptop, following the purchase of both a new a/c adapter and battery resulted in Nothing But A Blue Screen. Life's still trucking along and All Kinds Of Fun keeps happening here - including Eli getting in trouble for sticking his tongue out at his teacher (the horror! the son of a teacher being disrepectful!) and a stomach bug (which found Eli repeatedly asking why is my tummy so mad at me after hearing us comment that his tummy was "upset")

In an effort to not completely blow over Thanksgiving since I've already put up the Christmas tree, we're making sure to talk each day about one think we're thankful for. My hope was to make a Thankful Tree, an idea totally stolen from my friend Kas in Texas. You make a bare tree and each day of November leading up to Thanksgiving you put a leaf with one thing you are thankful for on your Thankful tree.

Some days, Eli is Spot On with his Thankfulness. Other days he grasps at straws. So far our thankful list includs: Cars movie, Spiderman bouncy ball, the TV in mommy's room, the clock ticking, Nathyn & Trey, all the Cars toys and a fan.

I'm liking how much Eli Gets holidays this year. He knows November means Thanksgiving and that it is about being thankful. He's coming home telling me about what he is learning at St. Luke saying Ms. Bobbie told us about INDIANS and know what mommy? Dey wore something on their heads! I'm looking forward to the Thanksgiving feast next Wednesday as well as the parent's feast the week of Thanksgiving.

Eli always makes it a point to ask me what I'm thankful for as well. Usually I tell him I'm thankful for him. And he's always quick to follow it up with and you are thankful for taking your pictures, too. How well my own son knows me.

Hopefully I'll be able to post a picture soon of our thankfulness tree once I get the computer situation all checked out.
