Theme of the past few days? Tools & Things that GO!

Two common things around our house the past few days among my guys - tools & cars. See, it's time for the Awana Grand Prix ~ which means it is time for David and Eli to spend countless hours in the shop getting the cars readyI just sit back and wait until it's time for paint, as that is my area of expertise. But the guys are in the shop doing their thing with power tools and such. Last night Eli took All His Tools out back so he could better help fix his car

I'm unsure just how much they helped but they were there if needed. Truth be told I"m not sure who is having more fun . . .
This afternoon we spent an hour or so with a different kind of car - the remote control variety. Eli was having a blast with his Mater thanks to new batteries provided by Dad!

And then? Well we rounded out the evening with a scooter ride up the street

Eli has big plans for a Spend The Night with BigMama & Papa tomorrow night so he made sure to work some more tonight on his Car before coming inside to put on his PJs. He's informed me it will be RED because that is his favorite color. I'm thinking that since David's car may end up being my car it should be pink and green because those are my favorite colors.
