You Can Make it a Surprise.

Eli was psyched to be his daddy's "helper" at school after STEPs today. I went by, as the way overdue library books I had searched the entire house up and down for were in his bookbag with him at school, and invited Eli to head on with me to the library. No. I'm daddy's helper. Right daddy? We quickly read through the books once more and Eli asked if there would be more books from the library this time. I asked again if he wanted to come to pick out some books. He paused for just a few seconds . . . and quickly said Hey you can make it a surprise and I will come home and you will have my lieeee-brary stuff and it will be a surprise, okay? Clearly being daddy's helper was way cooler than a trip to the lieeee-brary.
