Lasting Impression

Eli went to church with Papa yesterday. He was so excited to ride in Papa's car! In true Eli form, he took his bag, cup, some Cheerios and a red train. Can't ever be too prepared.


When David brought him home after church, I went out to the truck to get him. He was super proud of a Burger King crown! And a picture of a king with yarn and glitter! I was all prepared to hear talk of a king. But alas that was not in the cards.

Me: Did you have fun at church Eli?
Eli: Fun at church!
Me: Did you see Tripp?
Eli: See Ha-wee. See Set. See Zoo-zee. See Kaf-fee. See Maw-wee.
Me: Did you learn about a king?
Eli: No run at church. Just walk.


Ah yes. Apparently that is one of the newer commandments in Exodus, right? And he was so serious when he told me, too. Maybe next week he'll learn about Jesus. I'll just make it a point to remind him about that running bit before he goes in class.
