Love Thursday: Baby Girl

Gracie belongs to my cousin Julie & her husband Jerry. She was born last October, and from the first time she and Eli "met" at Christmas? They have loved each other. I remember Donna talking with Gracie on the floor in front of Granny's Christmas tree and Eli just being fascinated.

We call her Baby Girl. Eli always asks "Go BigMama see BigMama & BabyGirl?" each day when we finally get out of bed. He gives her great big neck hugs. She squeals when she sees him - she pretty much has always lit up whenever he comes in the room. He tells her "hush" when she's fussing and gives her toys when she's in the highchair. They crawl all over the house together.

I imagine that one day they'll be as close as Julie & Uncle Matthew are.
