Missing School

Today was to be the First Day of Preschool for Eli. But instead of donning our cargo jean shorts with a polo shirt and new tennis shoes we spent the day curled up on the couch watching Cars and Curious George while drinking water and eating from the BRAT diet.

I dropped him off with BigMama for a quick run to St Luke's Open House. I met Miss Heather and Miss Mary along with getting a quick look at the classroom and turning in necessary paperwork. I think Eli will like school there - he gets music time on Mondays and Chapel on Wednesdays - they have a letter of the week - he'll bring his lunch - and of course they have playground time each day! They have two tables and Eli's name was there at his spot & next to it was the cutest sticker that said "Hi my name is Eli and I can't have apple juice because I'm allergic to it" which is PERFECT for subs and reminders during snacktime. Now if we can just GO to school we can start all the fun! We're really hoping the fever stays away and the tummy feels much better so Eli can start school on Monday!
