Summertime & the living is sweaty

Spent the day inside again for the upteenth day in a row. Aside from the whole tummy issues Eli continues to sporadically have at intervals that negate No School for Eli Tomorrow, it is Africa hot outside. Like dripping with sweat just walking to the mailbox. Sucks the life right out of you and makes you dread getting back in the car after being somewhere for longer than two minutes.

In an attempt to get Eli to eat something, I bought the coveted Grilled Cheese from Sonic & we got him a Sprite. No dice ~ Eli was having known of the good eating. So I opted for Eli to take a nap, and he opted for Two Hours of sleep. Then we watched Happy Feet. And THEN he insisted on going outside. I had no choice - I said Go Ahead

First he walked around the backyard with Daddy. Then he came inside and said 'mon mommy go in front yard and to ward off the coming tantrum I said okay. Eli rode his bike all over the driveway. Then we sat in the lawn chairs while sipping on our Sonic drinks. Even though we were sweating up a storm we had fun just watching the empty road and drinking our cold drinks.

I'll be glad when it's not quite so hot out & we can get back to the fun stuff like playing on the swing and slide or jumping on the trampoline. Hopefully before Christmas. Hopefully.
