Love Thursday: Yellow Plane

I'm not really sure where Yellow Plane came from. I believe it was a toy given to BigMama by Angela when the twins were younger. Yellow Plane is from Thomas ~ he's a discontinued biplane that would cost me nearly $30 to replace per Ebay. So while he isn't always the staple Eli needs to get to bed each night, he's the most favorite toy he owns.

Yellow Plane once had wheels. And the paint looked shiny and new. Now it's well-loved, the paint is fading, and the wheels are g-o-n-e.

Yellow Plane was in our Christmas card picture last year ~ Eli there spinning in the center. Yellow Plane was in the portraits David had made for my Christmas gift. Yellow Plane goes to church and the lake and the beach. And sometimes Eli goes to sleep with Yellow Plane. Yellow Plane has had thousands of spins by Eli's little fingers - many a time it has calmed him down or helped him zone out during an ear infection.

And as I sit here typing this very post, Eli is standing next to me spinning away. Seems a most appropriate Love Thursday
