Born to Ride

Eli is currently loving riding his bike. He rides it up and down the driveway & has learned that the street/road are Off Limits. He'll go super fast and then cut the handle as he turns, lifting his feet. And I'm reminded of myself, on a Dukes of Hazzard big wheel doing much the same many years ago.

I do have to wonder if perhaps some of the appeal with the bike riding has to do with the whole Millie stays in the backyard and Eli gets to hang in the front yard. The Monkey is smart that way.

What I do know? Many an evening here in the haze as the sun begins to set, you will find a Hardegree or two sitting out front, watching a cute little guy with boots and stickers flying up and down the driveway. And I can't help but thinking these are the days you want to bottle up. The days you wish could go on forever.
