ok Eli to pick out a prize. We studied the trains and the puzzles, but it was a pack of penguins that caught his eye.Oh this pack of penguins. We'd been feeling the Penguin love thanks to Happy Feet so it wasn' t too new a thing. But I didn't realize just how many stinkin penguins there were in the pack I swear.
The penguins and "dey worl" (their world) have been riding all over Columbus/Harris/Vienna for a bit now. When not All About Rookie or Mater, Eli can be heard in the backseat with the penguins or spinning the world.
Tonight we pull in the driveway. And I'm trying to get all our paraphernalia out of the backseat. Eli has opted for a Got All Day approach to getting out of his seat. Obviously me standing there with a big box, his lunchbox, a bag, and his backpack? No need to hurry. And then he say "here hol dis and hol dis and hol dis and hol dis" ad nausea. He handed me every single penguin. As my pockets bulge I think "I bet he doesn't even play with these"
But play he did. And he even deemed the one tall one? "De Mommy One." So I have that going for me.
