Tomorrow's the Day

Ahem.

How can my Monkey be starting 3-year PreK tomorrow? Wasn't it just yesterday I was meeting him in the hospital - him looking at me with those knowing eyes that told me he loved me even before I knew him? The little monkey that had a pacifier nearly as big as his head with his crooked little nose. No way it's been three years, right?

For all the frustration and all the times I've lost my patience, especially the past few months, I still find myself sitting here wondering just where the time went. Okay so I'm also sitting here wondering WHY bedtime and naptime has become SUCH AN ORDEAL when the child is CLEARLY exhausted. But I digress . . .

Tomorrow is the big day ~ after missing the first weeks of school, the bug that was quite possibly salmonella is G-O-N-E and we are go for school! He looks ready pictured there to the right doesn't he? We've talked LOTS about how Eli will go to bed (bwaha!) and wake-up, go to St Luke & see Ms Heather and Ms Mary. He, of course, follows this with "an den go pwayground!" because clearly the highlight of our paying for his education is what time we go on the playground! Priorities, man. Priorities.

His lunch is packed and the bag is ready to go. His clothes are in the dryer as we speak. We've reviewed the first, second, and third of tomorrow while counting on our fingers. Now we just have to get to bed and make sure we don't sleep-in for the big day!
