I teach his Sunday School class the first hour with the help of Ms Sheila. I keep asking myself if this was not my Biggest Mistake Ever me trying to teach my own child, but considering it's only been one month I shant throw in the towel just yet.
Eli's long stood out a bit from his peers in my mind, and I'm serious on it not just being braggy mommy talk. On Baby Dedication Sunday three years ago, there we stood, our little Monkey in a sweater vest while all the other little boys had on gowns or jon-jon's with boat colored dress shirts. He's always been a Little Man, even at church. Part my husband's insistance our son Not
Look Like A Sissy and part my liking of things like sweater vests and dress pants, even with the Green Boots!
Anyway. So he has always looked like a grown little guy, and today was no different. There he stood in cargo khaki's, a polo and flops looking for all intents and purposes like some preppy little guy.
But the main bit of this post was not to show how Eli looks all dressed in the above pictures or how Stinkin Cute he was Sunday.
No the point is the boy's a rebel. Feels like rules Suck or something.
There the class sits, all nice and with their listening ears as Ms Sheila tells the story about David.
The Rabbit Hole. For nearly entire story time!
I was so appalled but Sheila just ignored him, so I followed her lead since she's in charge of story time.
Thankfully Eli did participate in all other aspects of Sunday School ~ ya know, the snack, playtime and library parts. Priorities, man. Priorities.
Hopefully next week we'll not only look sweet? We'll act sweet, too, and not totally dis the whole story part. Hopefully.
